"In February 2022, fuel consumption was high, around 24 liters plus 0.3 liters per ton for older trucks. Newer trucks (2018+) used 23 liters plus 0.3 liters per ton. Winter fuel consumption increased by 1 liter for everyone, but it was never enough. Trucks with 500,000 km or 1,000 km had the same fuel consumption rate. The work is very difficult; I was shocked after working at Girteka and have since returned. No 'bonuses' are mentioned during hiring."
"I was greeted with respect upon hiring, but once on the road, dispatchers were often disrespectful and blamed drivers for navigation errors. Rest breaks were frequently disregarded, and drivers were pressured to violate regulations. A significant number of Lithuanian drivers recently left the company. There are also issues with fuel surcharge calculations and discrepancies."
"The company unfortunately cuts corners on truck washes; trailers are rarely cleaned. Pay is calculated based on wheel usage, and there's a €1000 'wall' deducted from monthly pay (100-200 euros). Hotel reimbursement is minimal. Card fees range from €70-€200. Drivers work various routes, including Europe, Scandinavia, and the UK. There are refrigerated and sleeper cabs, but only in the UK. Dispatchers are helpful and supportive. Fuel is standard, with a coefficient per ton of cargo. If the company provided transportation for the shuttle bus, covered travel tickets home, had more frequent washes, and slightly improved fuel efficiency, it would be ideal. Many drivers stay for 3-8 years, indicating a positive overall experience."
