"I worked as a driver for Scorpio Trans in CzΔstochowa, Poland, throughout the summer of 2019. I lived in a hostel, and the owner, Vadim, provided free accommodation. A week was spent on a code95 training course (which I paid for myself), and another 1.5 weeks waiting for a cargo transport license. The hostel was in a good location, within walking distance of three supermarkets and the training center. While the hostel wasn't always tidy, that was often due to the drivers themselves not cleaning up or respecting the hostel's property. Vadim enforced order when he visited. There were always places available, and personal belongings could be stored securely between assignments. Drivers were transported by bus (free of charge). I started with no experience in category CE and had a three-week training period. I was paired with an experienced driver (Slavik), who taught me a lot, for which I am grateful, as is the chief mechanic, Vova. The trucks were all new (Euro6). The work is demanding, "
"I've been working for this company for three months now and haven't driven a truck before. I want to express my sincere gratitude to the company, especially Alexander Shpak, for the invaluable experience they provided. I was facing closed doors in Ukraine due to my lack of experience, but here I was welcomed and trained. I'm currently satisfied and will continue to work hard. Vova, the lead driver, always helps with finding parking and solving problems. Every company has its drawbacks, which you need to accept and learn to deal with; perfect companies don't exist. Appreciate what you have, fellow drivers!"
"These people are awful. Drivers work incredibly long hours, often exceeding 20,000 km per month, but are not paid their wages."
"Based on my negative experience, avoid using your company card for anything beyond your salary (fuel, box payments, or fines). All funds deposited are considered salary. Labor inspections confirmed this and advised legal action. Be certain these companies (Scorpio, Fire, Bison) will exploit you as they see fit. I worked here for 1.5 years and deeply regret the wasted time."
"This company is poorly managed. I worked with vans, not trucks. They say you can go to Poland, but then you wait for a truck in a hostel for weeks. The hostel itself is a terrible place, often overcrowded and unpleasant."
"This company cheated drivers out of money. I was personally shorted around 3000 euros over 2.5 years of work. When I left, the mechanic even refused to return my belongings."
"After reading reviews, I realized most were complaints. I started with no experience and worked two contracts, three and five months each. There was one calculation error, which I caused due to pallets, but that's part of the job. I received concerns about phone use, which I justified and were not deducted. Vadim never spoke rudely to me. Some criticism about Vladimir (the driver) seemed unfair; people shouldn't be foolish. Currently, the dispatchers from Hegelmann are quite weak, and drivers often need to supplement their instructions. They don't force violations, though some hints from Hegelmann dispatchers occasionally appear, but easily avoided. Vadim has stated that if dispatchers pressure drivers to violate regulations, don't follow their suggestions and the company will pay the fines. Working in Europe is very different from home, requiring more intelligence and language skills. A person named Vakhtang is real and often humorous. It's important to look at yourself before blaming"
"Unfortunately, the negative comments about Fire and Scorpio are true."
"Now Vadim withholds 500 euros after the cadence. They return 250 when you arrive for the cadence and another 250 when you are assigned to a truck."
"There's no point in writing a review, just read the others about Lukasz Mazur and his wife's company. They deduct money for everything possible, every month, and even keep some for themselves at the end. Lukasz Mazur has already been fired, but Vadim, a drug addict, is still around, along with his associates. It's only a matter of time."
"This company makes money by exploiting drivers. The initial job posting is misleading, and once hired, drivers are nickel-and-dimed for expenses like phone usage. There are issues with tire wear and pressure. The company acts as a middleman between drivers and Hegelmann, resulting in lower pay and extra charges for equipment rentals."
"People who work here get paid what they earn. It's a company where those who are willing to work, do work, and receive their due compensation. Those who prefer to sit at home and write reviews should stay there."
"This company has its ups and downs. It offers a chance to learn European trucking, even with limited pay. However, the office seems disorganized, paperwork is often lost, and the mechanic is incompetent. Vehicle damage isn't properly documented, and it's best not to engage with the mechanic. The driver acknowledges some financial deductions but implies they were at fault. The driver wishes the owner well, but predicts a bleak future for the company's fleet."
"I would also like to leave a review, as I worked for this company more than a year ago."
"Upon arrival in Poland, there's no assistance or explanation provided regarding vehicle acceptance or paperwork, neither from the director nor the mechanic, leading to fines. Drivers are transported in extremely uncomfortable vans for up to a day or more to their trucks. The training period is often extended far beyond the promised two weeks, regardless of experience, and paid at a low rate of 10 euros per day. Many leave during the training. Management shows a complete disregard for employees, readily dismissing trainees. Air conditioning is banned in summer. The mechanic offers no help whatsoever. The driver is rude and unprofessional. Final pay is often withheld, with fabricated deductions. Consider carefully before joining."
"If you don't ask for help, you won't receive it. After less than a week of training, I've been working independently for three weeks. I can always reach out to the mechanic or Vadim; they respond within 3-5 minutes if they're not immediately available. The dispatchers are just what they are, don't take them too personally. Overall, things are okay so far, but I'll know for sure when I receive my paycheck. The autogrill along the route is a great bonus, it makes up for the downsides."
"The company's popularity is rapidly increasing, but it's not a good place to work now. Management's greed is excessive, with a growing number of trucks accompanied by reduced salaries and increasingly frequent fines and deductions. Drivers who manage to leave with a negative balance of 200 euros (supposedly for future fines, but actually a bonus for Vadim) are lucky and will never see that money again."
"I do not recommend this company. They fabricate issues, spread false information, and unfairly criticize drivers. If you're seeking trouble and free labor, this is the place to go."
"Worked for a month, received full payment. Initially, everything was positive. However, the last week and a half has been chaotic. It's too early to draw definitive conclusions; it might be temporary. I'll observe further developments before assessing the company's reputation."
"I ended my term early, just two months after starting (two months sooner than planned). We'll see what they calculate, and then I can provide accurate information from firsthand experience without hiding my name."
"I completed my contract and can generally describe the pros and cons of working for the company. If I don't find a better option that meets my needs, I would return. Overall, I have a positive impression."
"I've worked at this company for almost a year, but this is my last stint. The only positive is that they pay on time, but mistakes are deducted. Vadim takes money arbitrarily and acts as both mechanic and accountant. Resolving issues with the mechanic is faster and cheaper than Vadim's deductions. I don't recommend this company; it's a chaotic enterprise!"
"Be cautious. Companies like Fire Trans and Bizon are linked to Vadim and frequently appear on Work.ua. He no longer publicly promotes Scorpio Trans due to its popularity."
"Scorpio, Fire, and Bison are scams!"
"After a few runs, there was an initial deduction for errors, but it was explained. Things improved on the second run. Compared to many other companies, this one is still acceptable. The dispatcher, Vadim, can be difficult to deal with; there were some conflicts and arguments initially. There were also issues with the lead driver at first, but they resolved it through discussion, and work went smoothly afterward."
"The company is heading downhill due to the owner's greed and inability to work with the team. There's high turnover and the trucks are in terrible condition with worn tires. Logistics are a problem. While pay (2100 net zΕoty) is generally reliable, meal and travel expenses are paid at the owner's discretion, and final paychecks are often withheld."
"Those who work for Vadim have problems in their lives, and those who returned after their first stint are foolish. It's hard to respect yourself enough to continue working here. This company prioritizes profit in everything β training, accommodation, work β with Odessa-based individuals taking a percentage of everything. They have no concept of expenses, only income and a percentage of all costs."
"I'm writing this because I want to help others. I've worked for this company, and I'm from Georgia; my name is Vakhtang. I apologize for any grammatical errors. I want to state that personally, I haven't been cheated by anyone in this company. Vadim fulfilled all his promises. The directors are bad; my company went bankrupt, and we were hungry, even having to retrieve cigarettes from the trash. Vadim called, we talked, and made arrangements. He even sent me a little money and a gas stove. I worked there for two months and have now returned. Capitalism is such that if you break or damage something, no one will forgive you. Whether Vakhtang, Vadim, Viktor, or Vanya is director doesn't matter. I donβt know who violated what, but I wasnβt cheated in this company, and thatβs why Iβll return. It seems that many people weren't properly trained during training. My only suggestion for Vadim is to provide a bit more internet access; I need it. I agree with adding a package for my tablet to bette"
"There was nothing positive about my experience with Scorpiotrans. My final pay was unfairly withheld, with 280 euros taken for alleged fines. Despite repeated attempts to contact them, I haven't received a refund or a clear explanation. They avoid returning calls and provide excuses instead of the money. No photographic evidence of the alleged fines was provided."
"Don't work for Scorpio or Fire Trans! You'll be left without money. Vadim, the director of these companies, is a mentally unstable person."
"The driver was abandoned by the company."
"Worked at Scorpio, and when I joined, there were only four trucks in the fleet. I already had some experience."
"This company is deceptive and poorly managed. They lie during the hiring process and create a toxic work environment with favoritism and backstabbing. Pay is unreliable, dispatchers are incompetent, and drivers are exploited with unpaid work and unwarranted fines. Turnover is high, and they avoid paying final wages. I strongly advise against working here."
"I'm writing for the second time about Georgian driver Vakhtang... my number is +995 598 613 017, contact me via WhatsApp and Viber. Sorry about the grammar... It's strange that everyone is anonymous... Interns, Vanya, Petya, etc., please write your number if you want to help us. I'm hiding? Why are you anonymous? Maybe your experience could also help me?! So everything you write is a lie. It's a good company, good director... but why do people work there? There are problems. I call it a working process. It's everywhere. It's awful here, nothing good. Call or write to me. Don't believe the trolls. Thank you all."
"Scorpio and Fire are the same company, owned by Vadim XEGELMAN. They deceive everyone and are scammers. They fail to pay wages after contracts, promising transfers that never happen, and block communication. They've defrauded many drivers. Don't fall for their tricks or promises. They hire inexperienced drivers and train them in Poland with fake documents. There's a paid two-week internship, followed by daily pay of 50β¬. They force drivers to violate work schedules and deduct fines from their wages."
"This company is a scam! They exploit drivers, especially those with little experience, squeezing every last penny from them. The director, Vadim, even calls drivers and asks them to write positive reviews in exchange for bonuses. That's the whole truth."
"This company isn't much better, and I wouldn't recommend it. It feels like they profit from fines. They manipulate drivers with deceptive practices like equating 25 Polish zloty to 25 euros, charging excessive fees for minor incidents (400 euros for a slight bump, 1 euro per kilometer for route deviations), and generally exploiting drivers. The director, who is Ukrainian, is incredibly unprofessional. He runs multiple companies β Scorpion Trans, Fair Trans, and Bison Trans β all located at the same address on Copernica, with dorms on Aleja. These companies and others like them in Poland are essentially front operations with a base in Germany. They treat drivers and work in the same exploitative way. The only potential benefit is the opportunity to gain experience if you lack truck driving experience."
"This company exploits drivers, imposing fabricated fines and deductions. They lure inexperienced drivers with promises, but profit from their inexperience. The initial salary is significantly lower than advertised, with deductions for various minor issues. Constant communication is required, even while driving. The company rents vehicles, and operates as a predatory business exploiting drivers. Avoid this company."
"The reviewer alleges wrongful termination and accuses the company director of violating Polish laws and regulations, with documented evidence including photos, videos, and audio recordings. They claim the company fabricates fines and deducts money unlawfully. They suggest waiting until May to see more reviews and warn that others may share similar experiences, implying the company is unethical and damaging to one's reputation."
"Alexander and Igor seem more reliable than Andrey. Overall, the company appears suspicious."
"Could you tell me if this company adheres to work and rest schedules, or if they operate illegally? Also, what is the condition of the trucks?"
"The fleet mainly consists of used Mercedes trucks with around 80,000 km and MAN trucks. Hours of service (tachographs) are generally followed, but the director, Vadik, may occasionally suggest violating them for company benefit. Two violations can lead to being banned from Europe. The company's practices are deceptive; initial lies suggest further dishonesty. Andrei will say anything to protect the company's profits, regardless of the cost to others. Psychometric tests, medical exams, and the 95 code can be obtained in Czestochowa without issues, but there are hidden costs and deceptive practices related to accommodation."
"Thank you, Alexander, for the response; things were clear. I've decided to look for another company. The work in Tahoe and the new trucks are good, but I don't want to work for free. A friend of mine wants to try them, though; he's a brave guy. He hopes for the best despite his lack of experience, and it would be a shame if they let him down."
"I've read many interesting things. Criticism is good if it comes from people who can tell the truth and provide their names. It's not disclosed how drivers must complete a 95 course and don't know how to properly secure cargo, leading to damaged goods needing to be returned. Returning goods requires a 600km journey, with the driver paying the return costs. There's no mention of vehicle sales or damage, such as torn tires or damaged trucks, which will be documented with photos and names in future messages."
"Overall, the experience was normal, with both pros and cons, as expected. The company operates under Hegelmann Logistics and uses their trailers. They handle diverse cargo, including ADR and pallet exchanges. Payments are reliable, with an advance and final salary on specific dates. Trucks are new (Euro 6 Mercedes and MAN). Work-rest schedules are respected. The boss is unique but fair, penalizing excessive mileage, vehicle damage, and internet overuse. Being penalized for mistakes is a good thing. Driving without issues leads to peace of mind. There are many nuances in any job, and this is no exception."
"The reviewer expresses concerns about discrepancies in fines and charges, alleging fabricated penalties and false claims about selling parts in Europe. They also mention recorded conversations being sent to Ukraine and suspect the company's practices involve threats and pressure on drivers. They are waiting to see how the company handles payments and anticipate further evidence to be released."
"After a year and a half, reviews and communication have finally emerged, which is a good thing. A free Ukrainian-Polish employment program will start in May, which will cut out many intermediaries. Polish authorities will now monitor companies and revoke licenses for violations. Drivers will need to operate legally in Europe. I hope at least one driver avoids this company, and if they do, it will be worth it. Learn from your mistakes and treat people with respect, then you'll receive positive feedback, honestly."
