"Worked for the company from May 2018 to January 2019. Magtrans deducts money for everything: incorrect routes, delays, excessive fuel consumption. Drivers are forced to park for 45 hours without water or restrooms and manipulate logbooks to avoid driver fines, potentially jeopardizing the company's license. Payment is delayed 7-10 days, and 1000 PLN are withheld for insurance, preventing full payment. Termination occurred after reclaiming the withheld amount. Threats of border issues and visa cancellation were made. Three employees left, and the company blames departing drivers. Constant harassment via SMS from dispatchers."
"Worked for this company."
"The pay at this company is shockingly low, barely enough to cover basic expenses. Management earns substantial salaries while employees struggle to make ends meet. It feels exploitative and a waste of time."
"This company offered a decent daily rate initially, but it has increased to 63 plus mileage and assignments. There are deductions for fuel and mistakes, sometimes arbitrary. Drivers often work near the German border, including Amazon deliveries, and night driving is common. The base has good amenities like a cafeteria and store, and the trucks are relatively new. Maintenance is handled by drivers themselves, indicating potential cost-cutting. Routes cover Poland, Italy, France, Germany, and other European countries. Drivers must use all working hours and face pressure to keep moving. There's strict monitoring of breaks with financial penalties for non-compliance. Communication with dispatch is primarily via SMS. Pay is in Polish Zloty, with potential currency fluctuations. While major issues are rare, there's significant stress and one dispatcher, Tomek, is reportedly problematic. Overall, it's work-for-pay, with occasional bonuses for extended assignments."
"I've been working with the company since 2017. I read a lot of negativity online, but I believe the issues stem from the people who are hired. I work hard and receive fair treatment; there are no handouts. I heard negativity when I started my first trucking job, but I've been here for a year and don't plan to look elsewhere. If you're a good worker and ignore the negative comments, I think things will be fine."
"I've worked for this company for about a year. The drivers are ruthless and willing to do anything, even betray their families, and they're incredibly dirty. Management exploits them. It was difficult to meet the fuel targets for Italy; my consumption was 32 liters, but they calculated it as 260 liters, costing around 300 euros. My last stint was 2.5 months and I was shorted 750 euros. Payments are made in installments, four times a month, with delays. A friend in Sweden was set up for a violation by the dispatcher, and they said he would be paid, but the company didn't pay the 4000 krona fine, claiming he was at fault. There were threats and blackmail if he didn't drive: their time was running out in MalmΓΆ; a 9-hour break was needed there and another 9 on the ship, which was not in their interest. They told him to drive to Treleborg and only take a break on the ship, or he wouldn't see his money."
"This company is a complete disaster. They pay a fraction of the agreed-upon contract amount, often fail to cover delivery costs or repair expenses, and drivers risk losing money. Expect long nights and low pay, with payments significantly delayed. Legal action might be the only way to recover funds."
"This company is awful. It's difficult to reach, far from major cities, and management treats drivers like slaves. Pay is unreliable; they initially pay 1800 PLN and an advance of 2000 PLN, with the rest often withheld. Vehicle repairs, like a fuel system breakdown in Germany costing 1600 EUR, are the driver's responsibility. Logistical fines accumulate, penalizing drivers for independent actions. One driver was fined for parking near an Amazon facility in France. The company disregards driver conditions and safety, leading to fines and deductions. A driver lost approximately 1000 PLN and 1600 EUR due to these issues. The company began working with Amazon in 2020-2021, primarily with nighttime shifts. It's the most deceptive company I've encountered."
"Reading comments, I'm convinced many pessimists and weak individuals work here who aren't suited for this profession. I've been with Magtrans for 3 years. Like any company, there are occasional delicate moments, but there are no problems with the promised pay. Dispatch doesn't set unrealistic goals, fuel consumption norms are reasonable, reefers are used when the cargo is valuable, and the trucks are well-maintained and new. What more could you want for work?"
"A driver started work and received a truck. They were told to wait for instructions but didn't receive them, spending the night in a company dormitory. At 8 AM, an angry manager stormed into the dormitory with a stick and yelling."
"This company is extremely unprofessional. The initial pay period isn't calculated correctly, but then they change their approach. The training on eco-driving is confusing and often involves misleading information about company policies, particularly regarding deductions. They may retain funds and manipulate signatures on bank forms, potentially leading to non-payment. Drivers often abandon trucks due to these issues. Even in cases of accidents where the driver is not at fault, the company will deduct funds. It's a highly problematic and dishonest organization."
"The company's healthcare coverage is inadequate and expensive (around β¬10,000 for emergencies abroad). They only provide local insurance (A-1), which is insufficient for international travel. There have been instances of drivers being denied medical care due to inadequate insurance, with tragic consequences. The company forces drivers to remove their cards from the tachograph on weekends and penalizes them for minor damages or route deviations. The company is considered worse than Girteka."
"I'm concerned about the company's approach to resolving vehicle issues β drivers are expected to handle repairs themselves. The dispatcher, Alex, seems to prioritize management's directives over driver concerns, and his actions appear questionable, potentially involving financial impropriety. I strongly advise potential applicants to carefully consider the risks before joining this company. The situation involving a confrontation with a driver is extremely unprofessional and aggressive."
"The company advertises a daily diet allowance of β¬55, but before trips, they claim payment will be in Polish Zloty. They convert β¬55 to Zloty using their own exchange rate, resulting in a lower daily allowance than the bank rate (β¬52.50). Drivers need approximately β¬400 to cover expenses, often costing around β¬45 per day. Vehicles are frequently damaged, and the company charges drivers for scratches and damage, often inflating repair costs. For example, one driver was charged 2500 Zloty for a minor detail replacement, and another was charged 450 Zloty for a mirror corner replacement."
"I've been working here for almost a year, and things are generally fine. There are always complainers, but drivers are getting work! I'm satisfied."
"Work is possible, but money is constantly deducted for alleged overtime shortages, vehicle and cargo damage, and fuel overconsumption. They scam with currency exchange rates and delay salary payments after the contract period. I waited three weeks for my last paycheck. Despite this, the average salary is 7-8 thousand Zlotys."
"After reading the reviews, I feel like I've been working in a kind of hell for almost a year. Many people who wrote these reviews likely know me from the Viber group and certainly understand that there's no reason to accuse me of favoritism towards management or anyone in the office. It's as they say, 'we won't baptize our children with them'."
"After leaving my phone number, I've received numerous calls from people inquiring about the company. I share my honest experiences, and there are no positives to report."
"After a few months on the road, drivers aren't sent home and payments are delayed for two weeks. I've witnessed this firsthand and spoken with drivers. It's not worth going if you have to wait that long for pay."
"The company was decent under the old management. Things deteriorated significantly after Peter arrived. I don't recommend it β it's a complete deception from start to finish. People were leaving without pay. We spent two weeks in Italy at our own expense without company support due to the company's fault. There's a lot more that could be said."
"Everyone has different preferences. Arguing is pointless. Those who left may be blaming the company for their failures."
"When I worked for this company, they hired many inexperienced drivers. These young drivers scratched the steps on the MAN trucks, and some had cracked steps. There's a dispatcher named Damian who assigns drivers to trucks and charges them for scratches. He charges 500 zlotys for a cracked step and 200 zlotys for a scratch. See the actual costs in the attached photo."
"The payroll is incredibly unreliable; funds are often delayed and discrepancies are common, sometimes requiring weeks of effort and even passport replacement to receive payment. The company uses tactics to retain drivers, making it difficult to leave. Many employees quit, leaving unpaid wages behind. The process of receiving final payment involved significant delays and pressure, ultimately leading to termination by the company."
"Having read a lot of negative comments about Magtrans, I can conclude that these are written by people who couldn't handle the job, didn't meet deadlines, damaged vehicles, or lacked language skills. I've worked here for almost a year and have something to compare it to; everything suits me here. Everything is negotiable, and if you work well, they'll always meet you halfway. Payments are made in full after a few days, with bonuses for fuel and mileage. You need to understand the job, be responsible, and be a professional. If you canβt, go work security at Biedronka!"
"Hello everyone. I'm waiting for documents to work at Magtrans. I've read all the reviews and am very hesitant about whether to go there. Can someone in the know tell me what the situation is like at the company now?"
"A year ago things were good, but now it's consistently a scam. Thanks to the boss's son for the terrible management."
"This company is awful and deceives drivers at every turn."
"The company is a scam. My husband was shorted 3,000 zlotys for the term. They claimed he was stuck in traffic, that the air conditioner didn't work in 40-degree heat (leading to extra fuel consumption), and that he didn't work overtime. When asked who would pay the fines, they said he, as the driver, should worry about it. Avoid this company."
"The previous review mentioned Magtrans, and I want to add that my husband received the bonus payment, but approximately 2000 PLN (500 EUR) of his diet was not paid."
"I've been working for this company for over two years. I read the reviews about deductions and had a good laugh! If a driver is professional and follows all instructions (which are explained thoroughly, so you just need to use a little brainpower, but 'our' drivers sit there nodding, claiming they don't remember things even though everything is written down, even in their native language!), there are no deductions. The claim that they force you to drive until 4:30 AM is nonsense. Truck stops are fine, money is transferred and paid, and if time runs out, there's parking with no problems. You need to look at the situation objectively. They pay salaries without delay and provide bonuses. The standard is β¬55/day + a clean base of β¬1675. I definitely recommend it!"
"The company deducts for everything β fuel, mileage, and even air conditioning use. Parking restrictions have been imposed, forcing drivers to wait without basic amenities. The company is clearly cutting costs at the expense of its drivers, resulting in high turnover. It's a terrible place to work."
"It's a shame you can't give a like for this comment. Bogdan, you definitely deserve a like!"
"I've been working here for over a year! This is one of the companies that respects driver's work hours and adheres to all regulations. Parking is never an issue, and you never have to pay out of pocket. Cadence is 4/1, 6/2, or more if desired, with all runs returning to base. They provide everything needed for the truck, including work clothes and gloves. All trucks are new, with a maximum age of 2 years, and the fleet is regularly updated; I've seen MAN trucks with 200,000 km that are already being replaced. You can realistically earn at least β¬2000, and with skill, you can earn an additional β¬200-300 per cadence through bonuses. Good luck to everyone!"
"I've recently started working for this company and have heard mixed reviews, but I decided to take a chance. The team at the base varies, some are concerned, others seem knowledgeable. Communicating in Polish helps a lot. I'm satisfied, and I've received my payments on time and in full, which is important after my previous company."
"This is a poor company. The logistics team treats drivers terribly, communication is exclusively via SMS and in Polish. You won't receive any assistance if you need it on the road."
"The company prioritizes maximizing truck utilization, often around a month and a half. Drivers are frequently terminated without pay, with the company finding reasons to justify the dismissal, as there's a large pool of available drivers."
"I worked for the company starting in May. Magtrans deducts for everything: incorrect routes, late arrivals, fuel consumption. We were forced to park for 45 hours without water or restrooms, and drivers had to manipulate logbooks for 45 hours to avoid driver fines of 700 euros (the company avoids responsibility). Payment takes 7-10 days after submitting documents, and they withhold 1000 PLN for insurance, effectively reducing pay. I was fired for retrieving my withheld funds. HR threatened me with border issues and visa cancellation via Viber. Three people quit today. Dispatchers constantly harass drivers with SMS messages about every issue. I am filing a complaint with the labor inspectorate."
"The company is terrible. You're stuck in awful parking areas. Payment takes 7-9 days after submitting paperwork, and they deduct for various expenses."
"I received an invitation from this company and I'm unsure about the reviews. It's hard to tell who's genuinely satisfied and who's experiencing problems. Does anyone actually have a good experience working here?"
"After working at the company for a year, there were constant deductions from pay. Sometimes I didn't complete the full load, other times I was penalized for exceeding rest time regulations. Dispatchers were unprofessional. Parking was frequently off the highway, with no showers or restrooms. They also created a driver training program."
"Earnings are about the same as everywhere else. You work a lot, and you earn accordingly. It's logical."
"This company isn't great, but some employees like Oleg, Igor, and especially Vasily were helpful and supportive. Dispatching is lacking, drivers are largely on their own, and Vasily often provided advice despite not being directly responsible. While they deduct a little from everything, drivers can expect to earn around 7000 net if they perform well."
"There's high turnover at this company, and many drivers leave. After working for a year and a half, I left myself. They withhold 1000 Polish zloty. Upon arrival, you're given a form and must sign an empty checkbook; they then fill in the amount that suits them and hand you 1000 zloty in an envelope. When I went to resign, they didn't give me that 1000 zloty; they scammed me. They charged 250 euros for a tire. If there's no parking, you must pull over at the first exit, costing 200 zloty. You must stop in the middle of the highway to pause and save money. They deduct money for almost everything, including fuel. Salary isn't paid all at once; it comes in installments, making it difficult to recover funds. Think carefully before working here. It's better to go where money is paid on time."
"I've been working since February 2018 and have no complaints about pay or work. It's a good company with respectful treatment of drivers."
"The manager immediately dismisses drivers who have left, suggesting many positive reviews are fake. Long-term employees who have left are accused of fabricating stories."
"There's nothing positive to say about this company; it's all negatives. Drivers are not treated with respect."
"The company falsified documents and failed to pay a month's wages. After filing a complaint, it was revealed they claimed to have paid over 8,000 Polish Zloty in cash, with a forged signature. The driver was not present on the day in question and intends to sue for maximum compensation, believing this is a criminal act."
